D700 and MB-D10 battery pack problems`
Hi, My camera/gear is just over a year old and has never been dropped or abused in any way. I recently noticed that the camera shows "low battery" for the battery pack even though I have put in a new set of eight AA batteries. In this condition, I can't click any picture.
If I remove the 8xAA battery holder and reseat it into the MB-D10 battery pack, the camera starts to show FULL BATTERY but as soon as I take a single picture, the camera shows low battery again. Sometimes it starts to show 'low battery' just as I'm focussing/composing the shot. I will send the gear to Nikon but was wondering if there's something simple I'm overlooking. TIA! |

Maybe check the contacts.. I have the same setup and when my AA batteries run low, it's Full, half, followed immediately by battery inside the camera.
I don't think it shows you an exact amount of remaining juice in the MB-D10 battery pack.. |

Do you have a fully charged EN-EL3e battery in the body? I think that's a requirement.
