![]() Thanks also for your other suggestions. At this point you can't re-arrange pricelists.

Thanks for the reply. It was pretty simple to stumble upon how to expand all products under categories such as "Prints - Standard Sizes."
Because I'm not sure you understood me based on your reply, let me try to clarify. What I am suggesting is that it would be nice to be able to expand all products under all categories at the same time. One click, ready to go, instead of 14 clicks to open all categories and then 14 more clicks to expand all products in those categories. Summary of my current suggestions for improvements:

question about setting a profit.....with the old way of pricing you had to set everything $0.01 over the cost to get notified of a sale. I can't find an easy option on the price list tool to do this. Did the rules change for this? If I leave the print set at lab cost will I get a notification of sale?

Yes, at cost sales will show in your Pro sales history and you'll also be able to proof those orders.

Paypal Integration - How to?
I checked out your smugmug site and must say I am impressed with the Paypal piece. As I deal with sales which require selling to both Americans and Europeans on both continents, I am looking for a way to offer two ordering methods for the same galleries. Currently, the pricelists option only permits putting an individiual gallery in a single pricelist bucket for a single print lab; which doesn't fit my needs. This is where Paypal could help out by bridging the gaps left by smugmug. Do you have any resources about how to set up Paypal as nicely as you have done? Thanks in advance...

I still like the new "manage pricelists" system but now I'm finding glitches and ways for the system to be improved:
1) When I view the main "Manage Pricelist" screen, I see the many pricelists I have and the appropriate number of galleries associated with each pricelist. However, when I go to "edit a list" and then click on "galleries" I come to the "gallery picker" screen and notice that the number of galleries associated with this pricelist now goes up as indicated by the number in green next to the "selected" button in the upper right corner. Shouldn't that number be the same? By the way, clicking on the selected gallery button is nice.ADDED TODAY: When I applied a pricelist correctly to some new galleries, the number of galleries associated with that pricelist in the main "manage pricelists" screen jumped from 10+ to 100+ and may still be an inaccurate number. 2) I'm wondering if I forgot to assign a pricelist to any of my photos as I really don't want someone to get the wrong impression because of what my default prices may be. Could you let us know how many galleries and photos are associated with the default pricelist? And a way to view them, such as, clicking on the word "selected" next to the tiny green button so that we may exit and then open up the appropriate pricelist and assign the "default" galleries the proper pricelist? Vote here: http://feedback.smugmug.com/forums/1...ault-pricelist This would save a ton of time when I make changes to my prices.I'm out of votes or I'd start some of these suggestions but perhaps these could be implemented easily and quickly without us Smuggers making the suggestion in the feedback section, to vote and then wait while the sun rises and sets for days, weeks, months or years to come. I admit two things...1) This is the 1st time I've used the new pricelist for my latest galleries. 2). I'm not reading pages/months of threads trying to find my answer.
I made a wedding category that was broken into sub-categories...(Pre-Wedding, Ceremony, Group Shots, etc.). It was easy to copy a pricelist from a previous wedding over to each one. However each sub-category does not have the same number of pictures and I can't set a "All Digital Downloads" for the downloads. Is that possible? Right now each gallery has the same gallery price set from the old wedding (which was used from the old pricelist and randomly calculated). Individual download prices are fine. |

Here's the thing (and let me know if I'm wrong)...I have the prices I want for photos/merchadise/individual downloads. I only want to change the prices for "Download all photos" in this gallery (in my case it would be my sub-categories). So I have to create new pricelists to change 1 simple thing (didn't have to do this in the old pricing scheme)? |

In ten years you could have 3000+ galleries and one simple price change on a pricelist would require you to go into 3000+ galleries individually. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have to click on thumbnails to apply a new pricelist to those 3000 galleries than to have to go into them individually and then hit save. Then use the breadcrumb to find the next gallery, open pricelist, make change, save, repeat all over again. 2988 more to go. Only thing that would save you time at that point would be being able to apply a pricelist to a whole category, sub-category, or sub-sub-category with one click versus clicking on all gallery thumbnails. (Suggestion #3 from my post above). The best way to adjust the pricelists for gallery downloads is to have SM apply a per picture price to the gallery download which could be different than the individual price per picture in that same gallery. If that's what you're looking for... PLEASE VOTE HERE: http://feedback.smugmug.com/forums/1...load-galleries As for suggestion #1 from my post above, can we just get rid of the number you show us for the number of galleries associated with a price-list if it's not going to be accurate and since it really doesn't matter as evident by there being no number next to default price-list? For a number to be shown next to the default pricelists, vote here: http://feedback.smugmug.com/forums/1...ault-pricelist |

Under the old way I can go into those 10 galleries and make those changes in 2 minutes or less...2 minutes (no joke). Yes its nice to "copy" the pricelist but if I have to make a new pricelist because I have a different number of photos per sub-category, it makes it pretty worthless and MORE effort/time (that SUCKS) to do something that could originally be done in 2 minutes. For example all my galleries for this latest wedding have a gallery price of $200.99 for each sub-category (Pre-Wedding, Ceremony, Group shots, Reception, etc.) All those sub-categories do not have the same number of photos (none of my weddings ever will). I just want to change the gallery price ONLY for those 6 galleries. With this NEW system I have to create an entire new pricelist for each gallery. |

I just guess a price based on the number of pictures...no science involved. Per pic usually around $2

I am unable to price a new gallery I just uploaded today because Smugmug is currently migrating my pricelists. Not exactly a good time to be doing this since I have a client that needs her pics yesterday.
How long does this process usually take? Because now do I not only have no access to pricing right now, but I also have to learn how to manage these new pricelists. |

Hi Del,
How long has it been migrating? Can you email our help desk with your account nickname/URL and email address for us to look into? Sorry for the trouble! We gave a heads up months ago that it was coming, in hopes folks would become familiar with the new system and migrate on their own during a more convenient time. We think you'll like the new system, and we'll try to get things migrated over quickly for you. All the best,

Thanks Steve, I was able to chat with one of the heroes and for some reason the migration was put on hold, and was able to get to the old price list again. Yes, I knew it was coming...in March...4 months later, well, a current heads-up would've been nice, especially since many of us are constantly updating/adding galleries for clients that need things asap.

I find them easier, (once I figured it out - which took a while). Last night I duplicated, repriced a price list by percentage, changed its name, slightly altered some prices to make them look more "retail", saved it as a new price list and applied it to a new gallery in about a minute. Once you've got a few set up, it is just easy as pie to use.
