Leicas (I think PreWar)

Hi all, could somebody with the right Leica library give me some intel on these cameras?
They turned up in a friend's home after his dad (who used to have a camera store) died.
Anybody know what model they are and what year they're from?

Anybody care to venture a guess as to what a valuation might be? Are these collectible?

No nothing about Leicas but googled this serail number range list. If that is the serial nuber it is a 1934 model

I believe these are Leica IID models... However, I am not a Leica expert or even a Leica fan... I believe that there were more back IID Leica's made than "silver" cameras...

Wow! What a great find. I'm not a Leica user but I occasionally shoot with the Soviet knockoff, the FED, and this definitely looks like one of the earliest models of Leicas that they copied. I bet they have a great story to them, too.

Not sure if the story will ever been know. My friend said his dad used to trade cameras all the time. These have one of lowest serial numbers I've seen...
I wonder how they got to Sicily, there's a million ways, but my favorites is Oberstleutenant Von Shweisig having to leave the quarters he was billited in 1943, as Patton advances on Palermo
