Smugmug Upload Limit
Just wanted to ask that with my 7D (18MP), Smugmug won't allow me to upload some high ISO images saying it's over the limit. What is the way to get around this?

Also, I just bought the 5D2 (21MP), would even more images not be allowed to upload to Smugmug because of the 24MB limitation?

I always shot RAW and upload from Lightroom3 with the plugin. Thanks.

File limits are documented on this help page - http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93278.

File preparation (including how to save file to meet size requirements) is shown on this help page - http://help.smugmug.com/customer/por...le-preparation.

This surprises me - Tell me more about the 7D high iso image - the exact iso, what is the photo of, what did you do in LR when you processed it, as well. Save a copy using LR8 jpg level, this will I'm sure be fine and allow you to post it on SmugMug. I may ask you to send me the original raw via our dropbox, for some testing on our side.

I shoot with Canon 5DII and Canon 7D - and have never once produced a single image that was over 24Mb.

Our intent is not to thwart owners of these cameras, for sure!

It was a few ISO 4800 RAW images from 7D (dark reception hall photos). All I did in was adjusting the exposure/fill light etc in LR3. Then I uploaded these images from the LR3 pluggin to Smugmug and they all got rejected because they exceed the file size limit.

Hi, can you go here https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.p...ropbox=SmugMug and upload that original raw file for me so I can have a look? Thanks. Put ATTN: Andy in the subject.

I'd double check the jpg level. My hunch is that the issue is in there. Very dark/all one color images don't have a bunch of unique data and can usually be compressed easily. But if the compression setting is too high, it will just retain all the data, which is what I think is going on.
