Haven't been shooting much for months but am in Chicago for a conference and am having a blast once again on the streets of the windy city. Chiffon seems to be big for spring here.

Fit seems to be a focus too

Not everyone's impressed with what they see this spring

Hi Patti . Good to see you're out shooting again. The last two make a nice pair.

Thanks guys. I appreciate you commenting. The burly gent in #1 reading the paper with CHIFFON as a headline struck my funny bone. Perhaps it was just me.

For me, the guy in the first one is kind of a contradiction. The backpack and luggage tell me that he's been traveling for a while. The raw size of the backpack makes it look very heavy to me. Yet the way he is standing there reading says to me he's just relaxing, patiently waiting for something. His ride, perhaps? So a man that should be a weary traveler is, well, not. But there's more and you already hit on it, Patti. A big, burly guy is reading a fashion magazine. The way he's dressed suggests that he couldn't care less about fashion. (I know the look...we share it ;-).

The more I look at that picture, the more I see and it draws me in. Well done, Patti! Thank you for sharing!

That's what drew me to it. It was such a contrast. Glad you got a kick out of it.

I like this one a lot!

He looks homeless to me, he's carrying everything he owns and seems to have some time on his hands.

I thought the same thing, but when I looked closer I decided he wasn't. On his belt, I saw a cell phone, the backback is actually in really good shape, and if you notice on the pile of stuff held together by rope, there is a small handle sticking up from a rolling luggage deal.

I could easily be wrong, but that's just what I saw.

I initially thought he was a tourist but after taking the shot, I too began to wonder if he was perhaps down on his luck.
