Tutorials

Ever find yourself wondering just how someone managed to create an image using different effects?

Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Africa!

Frio
I personally like Frio: the easy of use, the look, the feel... I had diffuculties making myself close the lever lock of my Canon 580EX II as it required quite some force. Now that I know that the flash is not going to break, using Frio is a joy :)
Any other experiences? Anyone using it with Sony flashes?

My review is here: Frio cold shoe

Hmm... I have never liked my SB-800 locking mechanism. This may be the answer.

Thanks for the review. Always good to know what's happening in the accessory gadgets world.

Why don't you like the Nikon's lock?

You are very welcome! I'm curios how long the Frio will last though. It's ABS, so it should be good for years.

I just don't have complete confidence in it. It just seems to be less that completely secure.
