If my site already has the older stretchy slideshow on the homepage, do I have to remove the code before adding this one?

I removed the old slideshow code, it caused a problem with the new slide show.

OK... question... What color are you guys finding works best for your nav bar and banner text? White works great against most of my photos but then when I switched to one of the other pages, it won't because I use a white theme. Black doesn't show well against some of the images in the slide show.

OK... answered my own question/problem as far as the banner is concerned. I created a new logo with a drop shadow.

However, I'm still stuck on how to get the nav bar text to show up nicely against the white background of my site and also against the photos in the slide show.

Your missing part of a line in your bottom JS box...add the part in red here:
Code:
InitLightBoxDefaultValueToOpen();

I'm having issues with my transparent header background. I followed the instructions but I can't seem to get it like the sample sites you have link in the OP. Here is a link to my site: http://alexsotelophotography.smugmug.com/

I have fixed it, thank you for this wonderful slideshow. One question though:

What does useGrid:true, do?

useGrid:true adds a row of thumbnails to the bottom of the slideslow as revealed to me by Eyenvent. the user can then skip directly to whichever pictures they like without waiting. i have that enabled and find it pretty neat. however, with that option enabled, the slideshow is no longer full screen and cut off right above the thumbnails. is there a way to make the slideshow full screen again and have it go under the thumbnails, just like how it goes under the banner on top? thanks

OK... I'm a total moron. I copied the Header code into my CSS a second time. I didn't realize that the instructions were to edit the existing code. My banner and slideshow are now working perfectly.

Thanks all.

Slideways Grinner
I have everything working great. It is a much different look, something that I like. I have redone all of my site, including the newer unrelated version of the two homepage java hack. It works as well. My only issue is I have over 200 different categories. So when I select "gallery categories" under the homepage layout dropdown, it causes my slideshow over 15 seconds to load. This is as annoying as music as far as I am concerned. I understand how it works. I do feel I need theses categories, as I use them to create another level of organization.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this? I would like to have the gallery category page load, as when I add new events I would need to see this.

I also seem to only get the transparent header shading to show up on my homepage only? It did work, I did some changes and just think I spent too much time on my site yesterday...

My main slide show page looks fine in Google Chrome, Firefox and IE 8.0 (Windows 7) but does not work with IE 6.0 (Windows XP). The slide show and the navbar don't show up in IE 6.0, can this be corrected?
Thanks

True Love Forever!:)
Who knows, how to get work Fastline Standard with thumbs and overlay nav

http://cdn.fastlinemedia.com/fastlin...v-overlay.html

to work instead of smugmug styles and become default style for all galleries?
How to achieve that?
Because I see the tutorial for homepage fullscreen but no one for standard galleries?
