Hey guys, I'm working on the fuzziness of the pics in the slideshow and I am at original pic or 3Xlarge setting on the gallery. Also I am uploading pics ar 1200x1200 px to the site. Is that too low you think? Also the slideshow stops at the last pic in the gallery, is it possible to make it roll non stop? Thanks for any advice!

Header/Navbar Guidance
Are there tutorials for creating the header/navbar such that it is transparent and the navbar is to the right and overlaying the header banner as in the examples you show.

I currently use EZ customizer for my header/navbar. If I set the navbar position to right it does not overlay the banner but stacks up in the available space.

I'm going to be designing a new banner so I want to get it right in the design.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for providing this awesome tutorial.

Hi all
When I am logged out I cant see the bio/home page. When I click on the nav button that says home it takes be to the slideshow page again instead of to the page that has my bio info on it. I am unsure if I am explaining this properly :(
I found this code in the CSS

/* Hide the homepage boxes and breadcrumb. */
.notLoggedIn.homepage .box,
.notLoggedIn.homepage #breadcrumb {
display:none;

and assume this is what hides the bio/homepage. I would like to have my bio information under the home button available or should I be making another html gallery as an "about me" page?

1200x1200 is definitely to small. Just upload the hi-res and SmugMug will take care of the resizing. What browser are you seeing the slideshow stop in? It loops for me in FF and Safari.

The CSS for this slideshow should give you the header you are looking for. Have you tried it out?

Sorry, I'm really lost here. I don't see a bio anywhere on your site. When I go to your homepage I see the slideshow. Can you explain further?

It looks like you didn't copy all the JavaScript. Give it a shot again see if that helps.

Thanks Justin,
That is the problem...... It used to be that when I clicked the button that said home it took me to the page that had my bio info on it. Now it doesn't, it takes me back to the slideshow. But I have snooped around a little and am starting to think it is meant to be like that :) I think because the slideshow is running so nicely ( at least I hope it is) I will just make another html page and put my bio info on there...an about me type page......rather than stuff up all the good stuff if that makes sense.
Do you know if the custom navbar will work with this or if there is anything I should be aware of? I am pretty much over my head but happy to struggle on with help :)
cheers
Jan

Thanks JustinB, where can I control the size of the pics to be displayed? The landscape pones seem ok but portrait stretch out of the screen. Also I used Chrome and FF.

Great work, Justin...

Can you tell me how the slideshow determines what portion of the picture to show??? It seems like it's cutting off some of the top and bottom, and on some of my images this will cause their hease to be partially chopped off.

Thanks!!!!

Justin, you rock! This slideshow is amazing!

I too am having some issues wit the tops and bottoms of my images being cut off, and the border really blocking some of my images. The sizing thing would be a fantastic help!

You are awesome. I can't thank you enough for this!

The custom nav bar does work with this. You will need to tweak it a bit based on the instructions in the first.

You have some CSS in your JavaScript box that causing an error. You should remove the following from that box...

Code:
.homepage.notLoggedIn #customFooter {
position:left;
bottom:0;
width:100%;
padding:0 !important;
}
Have you read the entire first post? There is some info in there for making the header work like the homepage site-wide, but it doesn't fix it to the bottom.

Portrait photos don't stretch well with the fullscreen version. Sorry!
