I love Holland.
Since 2008 I am posting my best shots at smugmug. Because I now have a nice collection of "Holland shots" I want to share it with you. See it as a Holland promotion. :)

Comments are welcome. Thank you.

1. Mill Maallust with blue sky, Amerongen in The Netherlands. Polarisation filter used.

2. Corn windmill, Cothen in The Netherlands. Polarisation filter used.

3. Characteristic canal houses, Zeedijk, Amsterdam in The Netherlands

4. Visited by a lot by tourists in Amsterdam, Begijnhof an old almshouse and monastery

5. A frog perspective of "De Munttoren" or "De Munt". photo is taken from the Reguliersbreestraat in Amsterdam.

6. Windmill "Rijn en Weert" at Werkhoven with impressive sky.

7. Sunset with silhouette of dutch windmills in the province Zuid-Holland.

Great shots! Beautiful country! ;-)

One tip: I would have cropped the last photo to 3/4 of its current height so there is more sky in relation to the ground. Scroll this page up untill the browser hides the bottom part and you see what I mean.

Now add some wooden shoes, a coffeeshop and De Wallen and you've shown how the rest of the world views Holland ;-)

My fingers are itching to create an 'I love Holland too'-post with shots of Holland people don't know yet ;-)

@Svennie. Thank you for the tip about photo 7. Less black is more picture. I keep that in mind. :)

@Awais Yaqub. Most office buildings in traditional houses have modern interiors. But, with some national accepted monuments are mandatory to keep it original. I am not sure but concerning photo 4 they are in tradional interior.

I will put more Holland photos to this topic soon.

3. Kasteel Hardenbroek in winter conditions nearby Cothen in The Netherlands

4. Kasteel (Castle) Sandenburg after heavy snowfall, Langbroek, Utrechtse Heuvelrug in The Netherlands.

5. Nightshot of Mill "Rijn and Lek" with "Runmolenpoort", Wijk bij Duurstede in The Netherlands.

6. Characteristic church, Nes (Friesland) in The Netherlands.
