CoBranding issues
Hello All-
New Member here. I've been following the co-branding tips here (excellent, BTW) and have customized my photo page. One problem however. The private galleries now do no display the password prompt. Can anyone tell me how to restore the prompts? Many thanks. Steve |

I think I changed it correctly. It now displays in the homepage section of the public profile. That's what you meant, right? Regards Steve |

Once you have entered the password, the prompt will no longer appear since the computer has been cookied. Remove all smugmug.com cookies and it will reappear again.

Maybe I am being dumb, but this line:

So IF your gallery is passworded AND you send the link to your sister in another state she will have to enter the password. If the gallery is only marked as private, then she will not. Make sense? Quote:

- I login to smugmug with my email ID and Password - I create a new Private Gallery and assign a password. - I add all the photos I want to add. - I email my sister telling her to see the, for instance, Birthday Party Gallery. - She goes to smugmug, sees the gallery (and the private gallery indicator) - She clicks on it but gets no password box nor can she see any photos. I have no difficulties on my machine since I can always login with my email and password which gives me complete control over all the galleries without having to enter any individual gallery passwords. Of course, if I logoff smugmug. I experience what my sister experiences. Maybe if you go to my site: steve-montoya.smugmug.com and click on a private gallery you'll see what I mean. OTOH, if you DO get a password prompt, then I'm really stumped. Also, thanks for your time. It is much appreciated. |

It also could be that you set the id or class (sorry, I don't know much about css and don't know which one this is} that covers the text of the password prompt to either not display or display in the same color as the background on the page. I did the same thing trying to remove some other text that was covered by the same id / class, but don't recall which particular id/class it was - maybe JT can identify what that particular id/class is for you. Thanks to the tips here I found another way to do what I wanted, so I'm sure you'll find help soon.

when I first read your reply, I thought you wrote "you touched some css that's needed". Then I see that you wrote, "torched'. I guess either word is suitable given my situation. |

Simply remove the following and you will get your password box back:
.headlg { display:none; } JT, are we supposed to have .headlg in the html anymore?
