1898 - Dawn at Blackwater Falls

That's what I thinking anyway. I was trying for an "old photo look." (Did I get it?) The viewpoints above Blackwater Falls, WV are literally accessable by wheelchair, and the photography opportunities are, IMO, boring. This view required me to scramble down the precipitous sides of the upper reaches of the Blackwater Canyon. I was glad for my Lowepro Computrekker AW. I was surprised (not in a good way) by the fact that the light was directly on the falls so early in the morning. Oh well, another scramble in the future.

Jackie, if you've never seen Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley in the fall, you don't know how gorgeous fall can be. And I say that having just returned from New England. Thanks for your appreciative comment!

Thanks, Rocky. It was worth the scramble. Wish I could have returned in the evening for different light.
