I 'think' I have made some progress in CSS-tinkering <grin>.... but even looking through a gazillion posts here AND studying the source code of a page, still leaves me with (at least) two questions:

1) How do I get the remaining text from gray to 'my' yellow (descriptions of galleries) !?

2) Is there a way... no... WHAT is the method of reducing my 'footer text' to 800 wide AND centering it under the Header ??

Thanks for everybody's help, remarks and posts so far !!

replace your div with:

<div style="width: 800px; margin: 0px auto;">

the width and align attributes for html tags are depreciated. use the style attribute and css rules instead. or give your div an ID and put the css rules in your co-branding stylesheet.
