Huh Cobranding/customizations only working on some galleries
I think the title says it all, but for instance on http://nickjohnson.smugmug.com/gallery/777197 things look proper, like my main page. However, on pages like http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/776691 the style is classic smugmug, even the colors are back to standard. Eww. I just created the gallery at http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/780217/2 and it too looks basic. What am I doing wrong?

I had the same issue, and I saw the following advice in another thread. Go to "customize gallery", and under "appearance" click on the "custom" radio button. You really shouldn't need to... it's quirky... but it has worked for me (maybe 15% of my galleries acted like this, but all snapped into shape after the following action). I also notice that once in a while, my homepage will revert to an old/previous appearance, but if I hit refresh, the new/correct appeance comes right back.

Hope this helps,
Vance

didn't work. I put it to custom (it was already there) and it stayed regular. I put it to regular and it stayed regular (I refreshed). I put it to custom and it stayed regular (I refreshed). Hmmmm.

LOL. Sorry, not laughing at you... but I've been struggling with several niggling little quirks myself. Are you using Firefox or IE? One of my little quirks is only showing up in IE, but looks fine in Firefox. I'll keep an eye on the thread, because you've really got me curious now.

Sometimes, the URL tells the tale. My cobranding disappears when I am away from my home URL. In your case, you're only seeing your cobranding when your root is nickjohnson.smugmug.com. See if this changes anything: Instead of going to
http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/780217/
go to
http://nickjohnson.smugmug.com/gallery/780217/

Does your cobranding come back?

This has been mentioned on other threads. I don't know exactly the reason for it. I just know that if smugmug.com is the root to a gallery, it's smugmug's brand that gets shown.

As for the browser, I mainly preview in IE though the page looks the same in Firefox.

As for www vs. nickjohnson, when I put in http://nickjohnson.smugmug.com/gallery/780217/ I get redirected back to www. instantly and it looks as you might expect www. to look.

Check to see that you have "No" selected for "Hide Owner" in the Customize Gallery page. If you have selected "Yes" the page will revert to the SM design and remove all of your cobranding and redirect the viewer to www.smugmug.com/<gallerywhatever>.
