Tutorials

Ever find yourself wondering just how someone managed to create an image using different effects?

Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Africa!

Fox
These foxes were definitely used to people and were scrounging for food from us. Images were shot at Bretton Woods, NH at my buddy's vacation home.

Shortly after #1, we went inside and cleaned up after a long day of hiking. I spotted this same fox napping right outside the back door. I quietly started making noise to wake him up, camera at the ready. I like this one because it looks like he's stretching as though he just woke up (because he did).

We also saw a few others, including a family, but unfortunately none of those images were anything special because they were too far away for my glass and by the time I tried to get closer, they knew I was there and left. Here's papa fox from that family.

C&C is welcome. Thanks!

Thanks. Good luck finding one down there. I imagine you'd likely need to travel...

Nice to see these!

No one ever believes me, but when I was a kid I had a fox that came and visited me while at play in the backyard of our rural home. He would only come around when it was just me...so I never had any proof.

Thanks for your compliment.

Wow, I've heard of wild animals getting used to humans, but that's kind of unheard of. Did you ever feed it?

No...I was about 4 and thought it was a normal thing. It wasn't until I was older that I realized how special it had been. No drugs were involved!
