Tutorials

Ever find yourself wondering just how someone managed to create an image using different effects?

Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Africa!

Bumble bee saga
Found this bumble bee yesterday morning clinging to an hibiscus stamen.
It gave me such a sad look that I let it walk onto my finger to warm up.
It didn't look much livelier after this, so I took it in the house and gave it a spot of sugar syrup to eat. After eating a little sugar I put the bee back into an hibiscus flower hoping it would recover- to bee continued...
All shots 5Dmk2/MPE-65/430Ex flash and hand focus stacked.

More shots from the sequence in my flickr gallery here www.flickr.com/photos/lordv/

What a great idea!! Use your finger as a focusing stage. 'Till one of the little buggers decides you're a threat anyway.

A wonderful story with a superb set of images to accompany it. I doubt very much you'd ever receive a sting with such care. A samaritan for the bug world :)

Fantastic Brian. Made all the more special with the story. Same goes for your Bee Sage pt 2 thread :)
