Nikon D300

On Minneapolis Craigs list I notice an unusual number of D300 for sale does anyone have information on a possible upgrade of that model or just is a pure coincidence?

    The D300 was upgraded just not to long ago and is now the D300s.................................HTH

    Kind of surprised that many are up for sale. I have one and bought the D300S last Fall for a 2nd body - shooting various sports.

    I think I'd only sell the D300 if I was going to buy the D700. Not just to upgrade to the D300S.

    There are a lot of them for sale in the second hand markets here in China as well. I guess either people got the 300s or the 700. I think a lot of people do not see the benefit of having a second body around.

    A lot of people are upgrading to the D700 most likely, but the D300 is still a killer sports camera.
