Old Irish Cemetery on Fogo Island

This is reputed to be one of the oldest Irish cemeteries in North America dating back to the mid 1700's. Fogo Island is off the North Central Coast of Newfoundland.

Situated in the Village of Tilting which to this day considers itself as much Irish as Canadian.

    Thanks...The whole village is in a way. I had been planning that shoot for a very long time, when the full moon rises at sunset. And the weather was perfect.!!..Whew

    number 1 is my fav, bc you get the best mix of landscape and "infrastructure". very nice.

    i like the subjects in the last one (sheep), but they kind of get lost in the rocks and fence. i wish, perhaps, you would have inverted this shot and had the sheeps and rocks in the foreground and the cemetary in the background. not sure if this was feasible at all but just mentioning!

    terrific series. you've caught the feeling of the place well. If you hadn't said it was in Canada, I wouldn't have guessed and figured it for Ireland for sure.
