I like it, Tammy...this is a great idea for knowledge! I particularly the contrast of the old book and the shiny new apple. There are two things I'd try to fix: 1. Make all the letters as crisp as the apple...the focus seems to fade out. 2. Can you blur the background/tablecloth?

personally, I like the contrast between the book and the background in the original image more than the overall beige tone, but I can see how the second version works as well. Can you zoom out so the right side of the apple isn't cut off?

I agree with a wider crop. Nice concept and arrangement though. On initial look, I like #1 a bit more, but #2 might look great if the apple does not look as harsh (the effect looks good on the book but not on the fruit). Like the beige though.

Thanks for feedback all! I decided to go with #1 (the colored stack of books with apple)! That was my favorite too.
