I am wondering if anyone knows how to make a layer or graphic bend in a curve. I know it can be done with text using paths but can it be done with a graphic layer and if so how?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

I was thinking that might work but its not quite what I was looking for. Although I appreciate the help. Essentially what I am trying to do is take this graphic and add some bend to it to make it look like it just came off of a roll of film.

Thanks for the help you guys have already given and now that you have some idea of what I am wanting it might make it easier for you to help.

In CS, there is a filter called "Wave." Under "Filters">"Distort">"Wave." You have to play with this a little to get it just right. Make sure your image is not flattened and the only thing it will be distorting is the roll of film. Hope this helps. Take care.

How about this, all done with CS in about 10 minutes. Could easily improve, i.e. make holes in film transparent.

    copy layer
    make back ground
    turn film strip vertical
    filter, distort, shear,
    turn back to almost horizontal
    effects, drop shadow
    layers, layer style, create layer
use drop shadow layer and edit its shape as well (flip vertical, free transform)

    Have fun,

Thats awesome. Thank you so much. I played with the Sheer tool a little bit but haven't had enough time to try and get it perfected. Thank you very much that is just wat I wanted.

This is too much fun, old version failed to line up holes correctly, but also with the direction of the light and teh film being bowed, the film itself should show a little difference in lighting over the upper curve, fixed that with a overlay layer.

Email me and I will email you the PSD file back.
