Congratulations to cmurph for the DSS #42 (Photojournalism in B&W) Winning Photo
What an educational and challenging round! We certainly had some new players join in and many of our regulars stretching their skills in a new genre. It was fantastic to watch from the sidelines.
Your savvy and awesome judges, trevor and VisualXpressions, agreed on six images, giving you fourteen finalists to choose from. Congratulations! ![]() Polls are open for the next 72 hours, and any previously registered member of DGrin may vote. I just read the controversial posts in the DSS 42 entry thread... I really had not read any of it... I answered Dan's post if anyone is interested they can go there and read my comments... The whole thing about the title really cracks me up
When I started reviewing the images I thought most of the titles sucked so I totally ignored them... besides a PJ shot would normally come with a cut line that would give the essentials who, what, where, when, and why.I enjoyed being a judge and thought everyone did a fabulous job as a Photojournalist! Winston, the biggest issue I kept coming across is many of us simply didnt know what defined PJ, and there were alot of opinions about it.... of course I was the only one that was right(
you missed one heck of a round...but yet was in the middle of it PM sent for a c&c :-) |

Need a little controversy to make a challenge exciting. I am happy to make the final cut for the vote. Have been AWOL for a while and not plugged in, hope to change that.
Good luck to all the finalist |
