DSS #41 Got this far
Now i'm stuck. Not Sure where to go from here, or which one to go with.

Being as I haven't entered one of these yet I figured it was time to "get off the Couch"...

1) Arctic Camo

2) Crocsmas Lights

3) On the Edge

4) Shoe Tree

Accused Shill.
Like the concept behind #1 a lot, perhaps lightened up slightly. And #4 is bizarre and hilarious. Love it!

I really like the shoe tree but I might take the flag out.

I like shot #1 if you crop the back dark ground or adjust the levels a bit to get less contrast in the picture. If you go with #4, I would also remove the flag and shoot it from above so you see the snow in the background as if to say, "summer is suspended"

I thought of the "From above" aspect. The problem is the tree is in my back yard and no way possible to shoot it looking down without a really distracting back ground. House, Shed, Garage, Neighbors House or my Patio would all be in the background.

Since I have a lot of snow here and there are about 18 pairs of crocs in this place i may try a different location. Who knows I may even try washing the white ones to make them harder to see.

I like 1 and 3. I agree with working on the levels in #1. I like the perspective of #3.

I love the shoe tree idea, minus the flag, only because it doesn't seem to add anything to the composition or story of this shot. Also, the lighting leaves a bit to be desired. How about some re-shoots of this one with some different focal lengths, lighting, comp? I don't know exactly but I do like the shoe tree concept.

Now that you're off the couch, STAY OFF IT!!, and keep shooting. Welcome to the Dgrin Challenges.

i like the concept in #4, the tree shoes. i think you need to keep working on it. on shots like this one, i find that i can keep refining and taking more shots, changing the light, the perspective, etc., and usually my last shot is the best one!
good luck,
mark;)
