Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

I really like 1 & 2, they catch my eye the rest have some color bal problems.

1 and 2 are my favorites as well.

I've always had trouble with color. Between the two computers we have, the monitors are both at different extremes. I can never really tell without more feedback. I've been meaning to build up a new computer with a good monitor to calibrate.

I appreciate the feedback, and will try playing with the color on the rest.

Congratulations!!!

1&2 as well. Very nice job, espically given they are SP...

Without knowing your monitor is calibrated, color will always give you fits.
3/5/6 aren't too far off, perhaps just a tad magenta, but nothing you'd have to fix. 4 is very green & yellow

Thanks! We were actually back in Austin when I asked.

I've made some modifications to #4-6. Do the colors look better?

Never mind the attachment is to low res.
But the skin tone was C = 0
M=18
Y=14
and it should be close to C=6
M=18
Y=20

Congratulations!

Very nicely done SPs What I noticed about #2 is that you took of your glasses, but they are still in the shot, on the bench on your right side. Is there a specific reason for not wearing them (and having them in the shot)?

Congrats!!

1 and 2 are the best of the bunch but a very good shot at self portraits!

I think the first could make for a strong black and white image too.
