Shawna and Dustin - A few from today!

I had another wedding today, so I thought I would share a few.

C&C welcome...

1.

2. I softened this one up a tad, but I'm not sure if I'm liking it or not. Suggestions?

Hey Dawson, nice set!

You've got some really great lighting going on for your formals.

For the black and white one you softened up a bit, I think I'm on the same page as you are, not sure if I like it or not. I'm kind of on the fence with it. It's nice, but I think the one thing bothering me is how dark her eye area is. Can you lighten that at all maybe?

I really like the under the veil one, but the direct light on her arm is bothering me a bit... I wonder if a landscape style crop where you just use the top portion of the picture might work better?

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments! I have some of the veil shot that is cropped landscape, so there are some without that direct light. I think I will mess with the black and white one some more to see if I can make it look better. Thanks again!

thats a great cute kid shot, but very little in it says wedding. Parents should buy it though and thats what really matters.

First of all, I really like #2! It may be soft, but I think it adds to the "atmosphere" of it!

The only thing I really noticed is in #6- I always tell the bridesmaids to hold their flowers lower! Usually some remark about "showing the top of their beautiful dresses" gets the point across, but if not then I tell them to place their wrists on their hips. It keeps them from looking like they are "hiding" behind the flowers! :)

And how do you get brides to pick bright-lit churches? All of mine tend to choose ones that are almost dungeons! :)

That's a great idea about having the bridesmaids hold their flowers lower - thanks for that! I just happened to get lucky with how well lit this church was! The last church I shot in required me to shoot in ISO 1600 the entire time

Thats rather common for me. I'm looking at newer bodies for good 3200 performance.
