Desolation Wilderness, Twilight.
I didn't get many photos of the Desolation Wilderness that I liked, but here are two.
![]() The first picture needs some color adjustments. Last edited by DRT-Maverick; Nov-24-2005 at 09:04 PM. |

These images give me the impression that I know exactly what it felt to be there. And to me that's the key thing, to catch the feel of a place in a picture, and you seem to have really succeeded in that. Excellent!

I like that first shot. Where abouts were you?
I've camped up near the Velma Lakes and into Dick's Peak area. Very beautiful. If you go in near Eagle Falls, you get the teaser walk--you can hear the water but not necessarily see it for a while Ian

Hi Tyler,
Very nice shots. I especially like #1, great feeling of solitude. #2 is good, but #1 really stands out for me
Thanks for sharing, Chris

I like that first shot, it really shows how quiet and peaceful it was. It gives me a relaxed feeling.

I can see why you liked these 2 - they are beautiful! I like just a hint of orange sky near the horizons of both. The simplicity of the 1st shot is very appealing.

I personally like the first shot as well. Though I'm not sure if I should do anything with the color. It has a green hue to it, which can be corrected, or can stay the same. I'm not sure which would be more appealing.

I love that first one.
It's begging to be sold to a movie studio as a backdrop for a movie poster. |

I really like the first one. I bet in printed form (or bigger format) the stars stand out better...that's probably my only comment. Venus is nice, though it did start to trail a bit (planets will do that after only 5 seconds!), but the trail of Venus in the water is a cool effect too. How long was the exposure?
