Kalimar 800-1200mm zoom in brand new condition. Comes with both caps, the original bag, owner's manual and warranty card. Fits Canon. Fun for wildlife, ships on the ocean, and spying on your neighbors!

Looking for $225 shipped and paid for via Paypal. You can check out my ebay feedback (since I'm a newbie here) buy using my "austinado16" name.

    Unless I'm missing something (like an easily swappable mount), I'm moving this lens to House of Canon, since that is what it fits. thumb.gif

    Okay. I wasn't sure (being a total newbie) if "House of Canon" was for "Canon" brand equipment only, or if non-brand was okay there.

    No worries. People with Canon bodies aren't going to browse for lenses in the Other Guys, so you're likely to get more hits here nod.gif

    That reach is incredible! 1200mm on a 1.6x crop body gives an effective 1920mm. That is seriously ridiculous. Do you have any shots from mounted on a tripod? Something a little more sturdy to get some sharpness?

    Also, what were your settings for this shot? Shutter speed, Aperture, ISO...

    What is the min/max aperture for this lens?

    I don't have a tripod right now, sorry. It's on the laundry list of things I need to add to my kit. Can't remember what my settings were. Maybe 100 or 200ISO and 1/500th with spot metering on in order to get through the group of power lines you see in the foreground of the first picture.

    The aperature range is 9.9-14.9

    Would be a fun lens on a tripod.......big ships on the ocean, mountain climbers, an Eagle (or similar) nest, in a Nat'l Park like Yellow Stone or Yosemite, etc.
