Had an opportunity to photograph an amusement park that closed in 1978. Chippewa Lake Park in Ohio first opened in 1878 and closed for good in 1978. The park has been unused for 31 years and it's amazing how Mother Nature had reclaimed the park. Trees were growing through the Ferris Wheel and the Coaster Tracks. Most of the rides are gone now but the remnants of a few rides remain like The Bug, the Coaster, the Ferris Wheel and the Wild Mouse. Soon all the rides will be gone as a developer has bought the site. It's sad to see a lot of the old amusement parks close, but I guess that is the sign of the times

Here's whats left of the Ferris Wheel with a tree growing through it.
