Ever find yourself wondering just how someone managed to create an image using different effects?

Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Mat-Su Valley Sunrise
I've been taking over the job of cleaning one of the fire stations early in the morning lately, so yesterday I was up well before the sun and got to watch the sky change colors as dawn approached. I waited till what I figured was the climax, then got up on the roof and shot a pano from the higher vantage point. This is from mid-valley between Palmer and Wasilla, looking up the Matanuska River toward Sutton, Alaska at about six in the morning. It's nice to see the sun rising in the east again and not the south!

Very nice. I like the way the layered clouds extend all the way across the pano. I might have been tempted to take another shot at it a few moments later to catch the sun star.

Cheers,
-joel
