I am really amazed my entry made it to the finals, there were so many great photos submitted! There were some great ones that I don't see here, either. Thanks guys.

Questions
I am so new I am a little confused.. what all are we supposed to do?

I cast my vote on the pole, now what do you do? I will also be posting in the unofficial section on my top ten picks, but what next? I notice the one above me mentioned commenting in the gallery. Are we supposed to do this? Thanks for your patience, I am just new at this is all and sometimes get lost because I am not accustomed to a forum platform yet..

and one question on the judging.. I am a little confused because in the beginning of the post she says the judges have agreed on (3) pictures, so where so the other top finalists choices come from? and how is it decided? do our votes count in the poll? just want to make sure I am doing all that is required of me..

Each of the two judges picks 10 images, and 3 of the images were picked by both. That means there's 17 in total. The winner and 4 runners up are then voted from the finalists, based on number of votes.

Now you wait for three days until the poll is closed and results are announced (or start thinking about and shooting for the next round!

). All the judging details and such can be found in the rules (check the sticky at the top of this forum).

thank you both... that clears it up for me now... I was not sure if the voting pole was just for participation, but now I know it is part of what actually decides the winners along with the judges votes.. I get it now.. thank you for taking the time to explain...

well onto the next challenge.. I am definitely hooked already..:ivar this is really helping me to learn, and it challenges me to continually strive to improve.. A lot of top notch photographers on here.. I learn a lot just by studying your submissions and reading your posts..

i'm with ron on this... i spent several minutes scrolling up, scrolling down, thinking... scrolling up... thinking... scrolling down. it was indeed a tough round to judge. i'll be interested to see how the results fall out.
