I'm using the "small" footer (Powered by SmugMug Portions...). I know we can not remove it, but I do recall seeing another SmugMug site where it was smaller and less conspicuous (I don't recall the SmugMugger). I'd like to make it half the size it is if I can, any suggestions?

You can ask support for an "official" opinion, but I think you've already got it as small and inconspicuous as they want. It's already reduced to the bare minimum content and is fairly small. What else did you want to do?
