Kickboxing
Gday All,

I did a kickboxing fight last night and got ok images. The lighting in the ring was not very good as the 2 tungsten lamps they had cast a shadow over the ring in the middle as the roof was very low. I managed to get this shot but would like some advice on low light boxing photography. Obviously a fast lens is good but what i am after is do i shoot Tv, and so forth.

I am using a Canon EOS 1DMk III and a 24-105mm lens. I would like a f1.4 - f2 but budget requirements overide that.

Thanks

Phil

Unfortunately that is the only real good shot i could get. The knockout punch was in corner and the ropes got in my way. The match lasted 1:39sec so not much time to get the shots i wanted. The flood light was playing havoc with me in regards to the shadow casting in the middle of the ring. Oh well must keep trying.
