A baby aphid looking at impending doom ?.
Suspect it was safe for a while- the 2nd shot was taken beforehand so the ladybird was probably full.

Those Ladybugs seem to like eating Aphids no matter what the occasion is.
I have seen them mating and eating Aphids at the same time.

The Aphids really don't have much of a chance, the ants seem to be no match for Ladybugs either, I guess when they're hungry, they're hungry and nothing is going to stop them.

Interesting shots Brian .... Skippy

Excellent as always Brian.

The bugs seem very active down on the south coast. Not much happening in my county :(

Thanks MM and Paul for looking and commenting - much appreciated

Paul this was the first Winter/ Spring since I've been shooting macro, where I haven't been able to find hoverflies on any sunny day but it is certainly getting busier now. I keep on thinking things are a bit slower than last year in appearing but when I check the shot dates they are around the same time.
