Green on the leaf (Insect)
I shot some of this strange insect, not sure what he is! Under the sun, he is mostly deep green like the leaf he's standing, my flash make him appear. Your comments are appreciate:

Lovely series - esp like #1 - it's a katydid (bush cricket in the UK). This one is a female with the scimitar shaped ovipositor at the rear.

The Katydid's are such strange little creatures,
except for the fact they they move walk and fly,
they do an excellent job at impersonating LEAVES

They're strong little tackers, I had one on my curtain rail a few weeks back.
Had a hard time trying to get it to release it's grip so I could put it outside.

They come across as being quite curious, I've never actually seen one feeding or with another Katydid either.

Nice capture of the first one BlackSmith .... Skipppy

Well, as all serious macro shooters, I use MPE 65 with twinlight from Canon. I used to "save as web" in PS, that's why all exif were gone.

Most of my photos shoot with F11, 250 in M mode. The flash gun takes care for lighting in TTL mode, I adjust the flash angle all the time to find the best light direction. Cheers.
