Any way to imbed 'Animoto' videos
I'm trying out this new service, http://animoto.com, that takes your photos and creates these cool videos. The free ones are only 30 secs long and can't be downloaded, but can be embedded into your website. So any instructions for this? I did a search, but no luck. I probably missed it.

thanks

Just put the embed code that Animoto gives you in a gallery description using HTML tags. You can also put it in the Home Page Bio the same way. I have done that before I upgraded my Animoto account.

We also have a direct Export to SmugMug option on Animoto now.

Go to "Video Toolbox" and click on "Export." SmugMug people can punch in their log-in credentials to get their vid posted. But I think that goes only to a gallery. You'll need to use our Embed code to get it in the profile/bio area.

Hi Becky, this thread was from back in March. But thank you for the update. Welcome. You may also want to watch the bug reporting forum as there is and may be other Animoto related discussions there. I could use any help you guys can offer in either location.

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up. Will check that out as well. We're trying to stay on top of issues/requests surrounding the integration.

Any plan for Animoto to go HD rather than just DVD quality?

Tentatively scheduled for mid-month next month, we'll allow users to play their high-res videos in a larger player (same as YouTube's "HQ" settings) for those who have create the high-res version. That will hopefully be a good first step. I don't know how much longer it will be before we have true HD. We're going to be looking at it again in January.

Becky,
I tried what you said, the video arrived in SmugMug and then I moved it to my Gallery "Sedona". Now there is no video in either gallery. Perhaps I am too impatient, but at least I will have the question posted.

Well, I was right, either I was too impatient or didn't look in the following pages of the gallery. It works fine.
I am a little concerned with the quality. I am not ready for the Pro account yet, and would like to know what the quality looks like at the pro level. If its not a lot better than the standard level ($30 / yr), maybe I'll have to skip the Pro level and try to get the photos into flash. I hope that Animoto will work, because they certainly have a good process.

Glad to hear it worked out in the end. If you want to see our DVD-Quality videos available at the pro-level, download a sample at:

http://biz.animoto.com/dvd/comp.html

Also, I have a few uploaded hi-res vids available in the Animoto SmugMug gallery at:
