May 17 & 18 @ Bryce
May 19 & 20 @ Zion

Details to follow - I'm in the process of making reservations etc right now. This trip will require you to make a decision waaaaay in advance, and give us a deposit. Rooms are nearly impossible to get if we wait too long, so this will be a trip that'll be nailed down as far as attendees etc. very very soon!

As to costs estimates for lodging: figure about $40 per person per nght at bryce and $75 per person per night at zion.

Air Travel: in / out of Las Vegas is best.

Marc Muench will be our landscape pro in attendance.

Many more details to follow as they get decided.

EDIT: rooms will have baths/shower & loo :D

Who's in??

    Hey Fink,

Not since the last episode of Deadwood has Linda heard such cursing as she did tonight when I read this post.

Lets see the Yosemite shoot was scheduled to coincide with my son's last leave before Iraq. Now Jason arrived in Kuwait on May 16, 2005. After doing his year in Iraq he is scheduled to return approximately 5/18 or 5/19/2006.

All I can say is may your cameras backfocus (I know that's not much of a curse since you own a Canon), may your lenses grow fungus, may the straps on your camera backpack rot, may your CF cards go sour, and may the legs on your tripod buckle.

Then rent a jeep-like SUV and spend few extra days camping around. I missed the Monuments Valley last time, this time we're going in!

If any of you feel like camping we can try to match the plans..

I spoke with some friends and they leaned me towards RV.. Flying to St.George (it's 1 hour away from Zion, unlike LV which is about 3 hrs). Renting RV for like 10 days... This way you can ditch the hotel payments..

    Decisions, decisions..

Put my name down too, Andy.

I'll probably be driving the magic van out to St. George (the van already knows the way by itself).

Bathrooms. This is good. :): With both hot and cold running water? :confused

Never been to Bryce. All the other places in that neck of the woods, many many times though.

Let me know the details and deposit info.

Looking forward to finally meeting and hanging around with all the jokers here for a few days. Should be a lot of fun.
