1st Pano - Monument Valley (of course) ;)
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, Arizona.

This is my first attempt at a panoramic scene. Monument Valley probably lends itself to pano as much or more than any other place. I shot this after Shootout '09 in Arches/Canyonlands on the long way home. This pano is comprised of 4 different images all shot hand-held with manual settings (all the same for all four images).

Suggestions and comments are always welcome.

Click on the image for EXIF.

Terrific photograph. I agree the subject really suits a panoramic view.

You are so lucky being able to go and photograph places that us over here of my age ( thats 55 and in the UK) remember so much from iconic John Ford Westerns!! I can just see that Stagecoach & John Wayne galloping across the plain!! - Although I had to imagine the colours

Awesome! Great composition, and I love the light, good focus/sharpness for hand-held too.

And now the bad news... they're not all going to turn out that good

This is your first pano? I don't believe it!

Nonetheless the subject and composition is perfect for the format. I bet it is even more fantastic in real life-size. Wow!

Thanks to all.

schmoo - yes, first pano made by stitching a number of different shots together. Before, it was just crop a single shot to pano.
