questions for cheese
well i am almost done setting up the wifes website though there were a few things that i am not able to find answers to.
1. i have a custom header however it does not appear and the "smugmug" header appears when "ordering" and "sharing" the photo. 2. How can you make the pop up box (over the main image) go away? its the one with the thumbs up and down image. |

The pop-up box can be made to go away for your entire site with this line of javascript in your "Bottom Javascript": showPhotoBar = false; or you can make it go away only for certain galleries using CSS rules that hide it only in some galleries.

I don't know why the branding isn't on the Share screens, that's probably just an oversight or missing feature as I don't think there's a strategic reason to keep it off those pages. As Smugmug has explained before, it's not in the cart for a couple reasons: one being security (dealing with credit cards) and two because the buying experience is really with Smugmug. That's who they will be billed by on their credit card (so they need to know that) and that's who they can contact if they have problems with the order and, in fact, that's who is really on the hook for delivering the order. Smugmug has indicated that they may allow some simpler cobranding in the shopping cart in the future that could still meet the needs above, but keep your brand presence on the screen. A third complication is that the cart can contain images from multiple sites all at the same time, but since that is the exception rather than the most common case, that could probably be dealt with in a design. As a policy of theirs, Smugmug also requires that you keep the small footer at the bottom of all your pages.
