I was changing the code in the Bio section and not I can't edit this section. I click on edit, slideshow goes away then nothing.

In your control panel under the settings tab look for Bio:change. You can edit it there.

I can now edit my Bio but I don't see it on my home page, I know it's there somewhere.

It's hiding in your control panel under the homepage tab. Find it and click
show to move it back out to your homepage.
