I love these shots. I hope to be able to shoot something like this! I am just guessing but did you shoot the last one with a high f stop and a slower shutter speed? I just want to know how to get really detailed pics like this myself with a great dof.

    Thank you! thumb.gif
All these were done on a tripod, with f/8 or slower (pretty much going hyperfocal) and as long shutter as it took. Bracketed, mostly (except for pano), then blended in PS (manually, FWIW).

Great fire in the sky in your third shot, Nikolai.

There just was not time enough to begin to explore all the opportunities around Moab, was there?

Beautiful. I love how the water in the foreground of #1 looks like it is still moving.

Yes, the warm sunlight in the last really brings an unbelievable amount of depth to the scene! thumb.gif

Definitely a morning and a location worth waiting for!

Love the sky and colors on that lost shot!

Isn't this Cathedral Rock in Sedona?

I thought it's been called "Castle Rock", but I may be wrong. ne_nau.gif And yes, it's just outside Sedona, AZ. deal.gif

It is indeed! The whole Sedona area is gorgeous - but so is pretty much the whole Southwest mwink.gif

That is a great set of images! I like the color and reflection detail in the third. Looks like one of those places I will HAVE to visit!

Beautiful shots, Nikolai! I especially like the first and the third. Love the colors in that last one. I guess it was worth getting up at 3:00 AM after all, eh? :D
