    Arches NNP Window
I took this shot pre-dawn this morning of the Windows arches. I imagine looking through the windows of a new day. :D

Great shots so far Marc! I was in Moab on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, and the weather was beautiful. I ran into Andy, Greaper, Ian, and a few other folks whose names I can't remember (sorry). I had to be back in Dallas on Thursday night, so I couldn't stick around for the shootout. :cry Hope you guys have a great weekend shooting, and I can't wait to see the pics!

I was fortunate enough to meet up with several of the early shootout folks at Mesa Arch for a sunrise shot. Thanks for letting me squeeze in with you guys! I decided to videotape the sunrise with my Canon HV20, and shoot it also. I've finished processing the video, and it is at:

    http://www.langfordphotography.com/gallery/6199478_R6jtf#390874061_kYKn4

Make sure you watch the "Hi Def" version, as it is much better.

This was probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I'm still working on my pics, and will post them later.

Mods, feel free to move this if it shouldn't be here.

Great vid, looks like it was a beautiful sunrise. It has been very windy lately filling the air with haze. I am hoping for more clear skieswings.gif after this next storm.

Thanks Marc. Sorry I missed meeting you before I had to leave. Maybe you all will get the best of both worlds. Storms for dramtic skies, and then clear weather once the storm blows over. :D

    Good luck!

w00p Marc, it was great to have you back again, thanks ever so much for coming again :D

I had a group out at Delicate Arch one night, of course we got the iconic sunset shot of Delicate, but then we stayed afterwards and had the whole place to ourselves, and shot up Delicate Arch as it was lit by only the Moon and stars. You can see the car-lights of all the folks that watched the Sunset and then fled lol3.gif

I used Ian's 1Ds Mark III when he was using his Nikon D3. I've got a 5D Mark II coming soon, and the rest of the time on the shoot out I used a Canon 50D.

I'd like to give a huge thanks to Andy, Marc Muench, David Porter, and the Smugmug volunteers like DavidTo and Schmoo who made the shootout possible. Aside from having a positive blast at the shootout, I cannot even begin to tell you how much I learned. bowdown.gif

    Cheers,
