Tutorials

Ever find yourself wondering just how someone managed to create an image using different effects?

Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Africa!

Beware the Zombies!
Boo! Look out for the Zombies! (Part of an assignment shoot this evening.) Does this belong under 'people'? I didn't see an undead category.

I had the ability to change the gel over the strobe from warm to cool. but I stayed with warm. Maybe I should have done it neutral?

This was shot lying down with a strobe in my lap. One time I should have been wearing a white shirt and not a black one. Stofen on the strobe and a few test shots were taken as I was using pocket wizards. Other shots from that gig are here:

More pics:

I can't post them directly right now...contract...
http://www.austin360.com/calendar/me...jsp?tId=126177

The first ten are by Jay Janner, a staff photog with the Statesman...I'm just a stringer and have the rest of them. It might be of interest for some that I took about 950 frames of this event and sent 100 to my editor.

Enjoy,
David
