Canon 5d mark II and Smug Video
want to officially make a request that smugvideo be able to handle the output from the new canon 5d mark II. I'd really love the ability to use it's capability and upload directly to smugmug.

It's even worth upgrading to pro from power if we can do this. ideally i'd love HD video to about ~15 mins (supposedly when the 5dmII will hit it's limit).

Hopefully everyone agrees with me

Yeah we expect to have support for that full HD video on the site before the Camera is in your hands

We're testing that support right now internally.

Not a limit of the 5D II but rather the memory technology. But of course you'll edit your films

5D2 Video Too Large
One song at my daughters Christmas concert came in at 1.2Gig. Uploader does refuse it based on current limit.

Any work arounds without loosing HD quality?

You can use mpeg streamclip and reduce the file size, without losing quality.

We support 5min or less full hd for pro accounts :)

I have a Pro Account: www.kathleennelson.com or "katydid"

I uploaded 2 "just got my 5d Mark II learning" videos, but they are not HD.

Thanks much.
