This American Avocet was lucky enough to be saved and nursed back to health by the Monterey Aquarium Volunteers

Just as I was taking this picture, the poor Harbor Seal was knocked off his rock by a wave.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thank you. I must admit, i could of taken pics of that otter all day. It was very cool to just sit and observe this guy dive down for his food and come up with a crab everytime.

Poor Seal! And such a great capture! I love that everything is frozen with the shutter speed, you can feel the power of the waves. thumb.gif

Your subjects are interesting and well captured. Ny only nit would be that, on my monitor at least, the shots appear a bit too contrasty.

Of course that's just my opinion and I'm mostly known around here for complaining anyway.
