A nice shot Phil. I was told that the Jay is a member of the crow family but I wouldn't know for sure. I was wondering if this was an adult by the down on the back of its neck. I will try again and see if I can get some more shots now I know where to go to.

The Steller's jay is the one that's common in our area (Washington state):




Nice pictures of a pretty bird, Bob.

Craftly birds those jays. You can tell from the twinkle in his eye in #2 he's up to something.
