Our journey came to end with a 3 day stopover in Brisbane before flying home to L.A.

As you may have been able to tell from my other posts, I'm a bit of a vehicle nut. Here's another unique (to me) Aussie Outback vehicle.

Brisbane is definitely a city built around its river.

Here's Iz posing with my cousins Frank and Jill. They live in Nannup but happened to be having their holiday in Brisbane at the same time as we were. They were kind enough to spend the day with us--true Aussies!

We took a day trip to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

The rest of these shots are from Lone Pine or a bus tour up into the mountains.

Well that's all folks. We loved our trip to Australia. If you ever have a chance to go, do. If you are interested the rest of the Brisbane pictures are here, As always C&C welcomed.

Glad you liked the place mate. Funny you like the old defender...aluminium body too. I just see a rough noisy fuel guzzler.

    Gus.
You got the rough noisy bit right, but as far as fuel guzzler goes i would disagree. I get around 30 mpg or 8 or 9 litres per 100 kms, but then you're hard pushed to do much over 100KPH.rolleyes1.gif

Once again Tom has presented an excellent photo journal of his trip
