I am looking terribly much forward to the Smugmug app for the Apple TV4, to be able to finally see my Smugmug galleries on the Apple TV. Kind of disappointed the app was not there on opening day, but hopefully very soon now. Please!!!!

Cheers, Fons.

Now that we've got our new iOS app out the door it paves the way for some work on additional Apple integrations: most notably uploading straight from the Mac and the AppleTV apps. We'll work with our resources to prioritize but the Apple TV app is something we'd like to do at some point.

I'm dying for the app so I can view my photos, finally, directly from Smugmug on my 55" TV. I don't want to upload them to iCloud or Flickr. Or is there an other way to view them from Smugmug. Please let it come sooner than later.

    Cheers, Fons.

There are Roku, Amazon KindleFire, and Chromecast apps that will display your SmugMug photos on your TV, as of now.

Roku had all kinds of issues, last time I checked. Unfortunately I don't remember what they were exactly, but it was a highly unpleasant experience trying to get to any of the stuff I actually wanted to see.. There's a thread around here somewhere. [ETA: Found the thread & asked for an update...]

The Roku app works great and is even fully supported by Roku now.

Re: Roku app: "works great" is a bit of an overstatement. Take a look at the first thing that comes up on the app - Popular Photos. Select that and what do you see? Or don't see. Postage stamp size 80 x 80 photos are not going to light anyone's fire. Then try Popular Photos by Category. Not real impressive. My own photos do show up full screen, but the nav is terrible.
