This was taken west of Sacramento near Dixon. In my infinite wisdom I went early morning and I think a little later might be better. Comments welcome

Some more light on the flowers might help, but I think it's the background that is dragging down the image (at the very least, straighten the horizon). Given that the distance here is so blah, maybe if you got lower, and really focused on a single flower, or grouping of flowers as a strong focal point?
Yeah, if you recognize the avatar, new user name.

I have to agree with JC. I think eliminating the horizon in this case is a good idea, this would bring the focus of the subject to the field of sun flowers. If you have the opportunity I would try and shoot this scene again, maybe on a brighter morning with some billowing white clouds on the horizon. Overall, a nice capture.
I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going anyway.

Thanks for the comments. I just did not see the horizon line.

as far s the background I do intend to go back with a ladder and see if a higher perspective works.

Clouds and blue sky, well maybe . In the summer in the cal central valley, clouds are hard to predict.
