Night clouds & Moon

It's been forever. Weddings, family events, etc.... We have had lots of clouds lately. The moon peaked out and gave a dramatic view. Unfortunately I blened two pics. One exposed for moon, one for night sky. Not sure it works that great but... it was really neat to watch.

Very nice. Looks a bit like a nebula rather than cloud formations. :smile

I've seen that color also, and I believe it is produced by refraction of the moonlight by ice crystals in the clouds.

Well done, Eia. It's an interesting image, for sure. It encourages all sorts of interpretations. For me, I see it as a view from inside a black hole. The " thing " is getting ready to devour the next planet in line of the vast array of matter being sucked into the vortex.
