How to make Unlisted link readable

When I make a gallery Unlisted (anyone with the link), I go to gallery setting and copy the link to pass on to people. When I paste on the email, it turns out a block of black.

Or I shouldn't copy from there?

Much easier to just go the gallery and copy the browser URL.

You could also use the "Share" button, choose "Gallery" and copy that link, as shown on the help page: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/en/portal/articles/93254

Additionally, if you do it from the Gallery Settings like you are, if you're on a Mac, you can choose "Paste and Match Style". If you use Chrome (on Windows) you can use "Ctrl+Shift+V" for paste without formatting.
