    Wonderful shot, Lauren. I might opt for a tad more overall luminance....something to make the stairs " pop " a little more against the brick background. As Randy noted, the composition is great. Well seen and captured.

    Very nice shot! I like the geometry of the composition, I wonder if a square crop would work though. Not sure.

    I'll go with the first revision. I like the darker background brick wall and you did a superb job in adding " pop " to the stairs. I never interpreted this as an exercise in rustology ( new made-up word ) but rather one with an emphasis on geometry. The increased pop in the stairs was the spark that brought it home for me. Good job.

    THanks, Tom. The first revision is my preference also. I just kept playing with the PS layer blends until I found versions I liked. Thanks for looking in.
