Pre-text when sharing to Facebook

Okay so I use the Publish to Facebook feature in the organize page on almost every gallery I post, and the last two times I've used it I didn't get the option to have the facebook photo link back to my website, along with some text. Has this been removed, or did it just go somewhere else that I'm not seeing right now? And if it's gone... why would you do that? :dunno I want my photos primarily on Smugmug, not on Facebook, so I want my Facebook photos linked back to my website to draw people to where they're actually displayed the way I want them, and right now I seem to have to do that linking manually when it used to be automatic.

    Hi John,

    I am very sorry about this, but Facebook has changed the policy on their API usage - because of this we had to turn this option off. You can read more about this - here:

    Go to a photo in a gallery and copy the browser link. Paste this into FB message and it'll generate
    the gallery using the photo you were on. After it generates delete link and type in whatever text you want.
    Clicking will link back to the photo in your gallery.

    Well that sucks. :cry And there's really no way to work the link in there at all? I don't post a ton of photos to fb, but when I do I want them linked to Smugmug from my fb gallery, so I guess I have to do each one manually at this point.

    Use this plugin to add the photo links yourself. The links are long, but work. http://www.sherlockphotography.org/C...Chrome/PayPal/

    Dee replied to a very old post from April 2015. I *think* the issue got resolved - It may depend on which type of link you post (lightbox versus direct image versus gallery), but the last time I checked, I could post links to images, and, for my purposes and more importantly, videos. The latter play on FB directly now. (Unless someone messed this up in the last 2 weeks.)

    I have not been able to add the photo link to the photo published to Facebook since early last year. It was changed then due to Facebook policy.
    I still do see an option to post the photo link when publishing to Facebook, only the Page/Profile, Album, Titles and Captions, and image size.
    This is not in reference to sharing an individual photo to Facebook, but the publish to Facebook option in the Organize module. This is important to us event photographers that publish several 100 images to Facebook at a time to direct sales to our website.
